Specialist addiction support and treatment services across the UK, empowering individuals to rebuild lives and achieve lasting recovery.

Treatment is delivered by experienced multidisciplinary teams, including medical practitioners, nurses, therapists and addiction specialists, within safe, therapeutic and confidential environments. Every treatment programme is tailored to the individual, recognising that addiction is often closely linked with mental health, physical health and wider social needs.
Our services accept referrals from private individuals, private medical insurers (PMI), NHS commissioners, local authorities and other statutory organisations, ensuring timely access to high-quality, evidence-based care.
Recovery is at the heart of everything we do. Support continues beyond residential treatment through structured aftercare, relapse prevention planning and ongoing recovery support, helping people build resilience, maintain long-term recovery and regain independence. Where appropriate, individuals can also access IHCM’s wider integrated care pathways, enabling seamless transitions into specialist mental health, residential or community-based services when additional support is needed.
If alcohol, drugs or addictive behaviours are affecting your physical or mental health, relationships, family life, employment or day-to-day wellbeing, it may be time to seek professional support. Many people delay asking for help, believing they need to reach “rock bottom”, but early intervention often leads to better long-term recovery outcomes.
Through IHCM’s specialist addiction treatment providers, including Ocean Recovery in Blackpool, Cassiobury Court in Watford and Asana Lodge in Northamptonshire, we offer confidential assessments to help determine the most appropriate treatment pathway. Whether you are seeking support for alcohol addiction, drug dependency, prescription medication misuse or other addictive behaviours, our experienced clinical teams will help you understand the options available and develop a personalised recovery plan.
Yes. IHCM’s specialist addiction treatment providers accept private self-funded admissions and, where appropriate, treatment funded through Private Medical Insurance (PMI).
Our providers also work with local authorities and other statutory organisations that commission residential addiction treatment for individuals who meet their funding criteria.
Our providers offer a range of treatment options, including medically managed detoxification, residential rehabilitation, therapy programmes and structured aftercare. Our admissions teams are available to discuss funding options, availability and the most appropriate service for your individual needs.
Alongside Ocean Recovery, Cassiobury Court and Asana Lodge, IHCM is continuing to expand its addiction treatment pathway through the development of services at Avena Healthcare in Scotland and Southern Hill Hospital in Norfolk, helping improve access to specialist addiction treatment across the UK.
A medically managed detoxification programme provides a safe and carefully monitored environment where individuals can withdraw from alcohol or drugs under the supervision of experienced doctors, nurses and addiction specialists. Detoxification helps manage withdrawal symptoms safely while reducing the risks associated with stopping alcohol or substances without medical support.
Every detox programme is individually planned following a comprehensive clinical assessment. Throughout treatment, people receive medical monitoring, medication where appropriate, psychological support and preparation for the next stage of their recovery. Detox is only the first step towards lasting recovery and is usually followed by residential addiction treatment, therapy, rehabilitation and relapse prevention planning.
With the individual’s consent, families and loved ones are encouraged to play an important role throughout treatment and recovery. Addiction often affects the whole family, and involving those closest to the individual can help improve understanding, rebuild relationships and provide valuable support throughout the recovery journey.
Across IHCM’s specialist addiction treatment providers, families may be involved through regular communication, family support sessions, education about addiction and opportunities to participate in aspects of treatment and recovery where appropriate. We recognise that family members may also need information and support as they navigate the impact addiction can have on those around them.
We also understand that not everyone wishes to involve their family or has family members who are able to participate. Where an individual chooses not to involve their family, or where this is not appropriate, we fully respect their wishes and their right to confidentiality. Our teams work closely with each person to ensure their treatment remains person-centred, supportive and focused on achieving the best possible recovery outcomes.
Recovery does not end when residential treatment finishes. Before leaving one of IHCM’s addiction treatment providers, every individual receives a personalised aftercare plan designed to support long-term recovery and reduce the risk of relapse.
This may include relapse prevention planning, ongoing therapy, mutual aid groups, recovery coaching, community addiction services and continued support from our treatment teams. Where appropriate, individuals may also progress into supported living through one of IHCM’s providers or access wider community services that help them rebuild independent, healthy and fulfilling lives.
Our focus is on supporting sustained recovery, improving physical and mental wellbeing, rebuilding relationships and enabling people to move forward with confidence.
Our admissions teams aim to assess enquiries as quickly as possible and, where clinically appropriate, treatment can often begin within a short timeframe. Timescales depend on clinical assessment, funding arrangements and service availability. Whether you are seeking private addiction treatment, statutory-funded residential treatment or advice for a loved one, our team will guide you through the assessment and admissions process and help identify the most appropriate provider.
